CareTech supplies all of its software application on SQL express. Microsoft SQL Server Express is a version of Microsoft’s SQL Server relational database management system that is free to download, distribute and use. It comprises a database specifically targeted for embedded and smaller-scale applications.

Administration of data is then made easy as RTM translates any system into a single data centre database allowing the organization to query in any format that may be required. RTM provides standard reports and dashboards for the organization. As technology changes RTM maintains continuity of data by aggregating this new technology into its’ systems, allowing the organizations the ability to move freely between technology suppliers.

SQL Overview: SQL stands for Structured Query Language. It is an American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standard. It is a standard language for accessing and manipulating databases. Using SQL we can create databases, tables, stored procedures (SP’s), execute queries, retrieve, insert, update, and delete data against a database.
CareTech software supports Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). This is a standard application programming interface (API) for accessing database management systems (DBMS). The designers of ODBC aimed to make it independent of database systems and operating systems. An application written using ODBC can be ported to other platforms, both on the client and server side, with few changes to the data access code.
