The Aged Care Range which includes the CareTech IP Nurse Call & RTLS System is owned, operated and manufactured in Brisbane, Australia. The Range providing the latest in IP technology is owned and operated by the same Australian owned and operated parent company as RTM, so you can expect integration between the two systems in the range to be seamless.The manufacturing plant and warehouse holds about $750,000 of stock at any given time and both facilities are available for inspection.

The Real Time Location system (RTLS) is specifically designed to leverage the reports and dashboard information provided by RTM. RTLS is designed to sit over the infrastructure allowing RTM reporting, and data collection can occur even inside an older facility using legacy infrastructure.

CareTech offer a range of hardware and infrastructure solutions from IP / Wi-Fi, Radio, RS485, and contact driven.Each call point has the same look and function for the staff using it. However, CareTech will allow the leverage on infrastructure depending on the facility. The head end can be either PC based or run on a PCB board or both can be implemented for redundancy.

A true IP solution, the system is scalable using IP, Wi-Fi, Radio, RS485 technology infrastructure. Moreover, the system will work over all mediums and can be retro fitted into existing infrastructure, ensuring flexibility. The purpose of this design is to reduce total cost of ownership while maximizing the functionality of the technology infrastructure whether it is existing or new.

RTLS is utilized by the CareTech Wandering Patient Solution to automatically identify and track the location of both residents and staff within a facility. The RTLS system determines the location of staff or residents through the wireless RTLS tags worn by them and which send wireless signals to the Nurse Call points having fixed reference positions. The RTLS tags are equipped with infrared technology to ensure 100% room level accuracy, and radio frequency and cabling to send signals and cover areas where no infrared infrastructure exists.

Residents can move freely around the facility with the knowledge that in the event of an emergency or when they require assistance, they can simply press a button and a message will receive by both the annunciator and the cordless handsets which are carried by the staff and which indicate the resident and the location. Safety to staff is provided in the same way. The system can also be programmed for a higher level of alarms.
The RTLS system will also track staff movements in the resident rooms and other locations to allow a Time of Care Given (TOC) report to be generated, both in room care and non-care locations. These reports can be produced in both graphical and text-based formats.Specifically, CareTech reports can be created to display planned presence or unplanned presence and cancellation of calls.
